Basic Information
Dr. Ganesh Chandra Paul was born and brought up in Medinipur, West Bengal, India. He completed his secondary (2006) and higher secondary (2008) education from Saharda Kalipada Vidyapith and Gobardhanpur Pramathanath Vidyayatan, Medinipur. He completed his graduation (B.Sc. in Chemistry Honors) from Midnapore College under Vidyasagar University in 2011 with the minor subjeets Physics and Mathematics. He obtained a Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Chemistry from IIT Guwahati in 2013. He qualified for GATE (Chemistry) in 2013 and UGC-NET (Chemistry) in 2015. He joined the Department of Chemistry, IIT Guwahati, as a doctoral student in July 2013 under the supervision of Dr. Chandan Mukherjee. His Ph.D. work is focused on transition-metal radical complexes and their application to different organic transformations as catalysts. He has published several research papers in peer-reviewed, high-impact-factor international journals. He has also published a book chapter and presented several Scientific and technical research papers at various international and national conferences. Dr. Paul embarked on his independent career as an Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry under the Faculty of Science and Technology, ICFAL University Tripura in 2018. Dr. Paul's research interests are synthetic inorganic chemistry, especially coordination chemistry and catalysis. Now Dr. Ganesh Chandra Paul serving as the Head of the Department of Chemistry, ICFAI University, Tripura since February 2024.
