Dr. N. Mahalakshmi is a distinguished educator and full-time research scholar at the Department of Education, Annamalai University. She holds multiple academic qualifications, including D.T. Ed., M.A., M.Sc., M. Ed., NET, Ph.D. in Education, and postgraduate diplomas in Statistics and Adult & Continuing Education, along with certifications in CPD courses on OER and Scholastic Updates. With 8 years of experience as an English teacher and 12 years of collegiate experience, including 5 years in administration. She has made significant contributions to the field of education. She has presented papers at international seminars, published articles in conference proceedings, published research articles in reputed journals, and contributed chapters to academic books. Her participation in seminars and conferences highlights her commitment to academic engagement. A prolific author, she has published 32 books aligned with the B. Ed. curriculum and Early Childhood Education. She has completed 18 FDPs and has delivered several invited lectures. Dr. Mahalakshmi is the Founder and Director of GuruShishya Academy and GuruShishya Institute of Education and Training, which envisions shaping young minds and inspiring a passion for learning, with a mission to nurture intellectual, social, and emotional growth through comprehensive education. She has received 17 prestigious awards, including the Nation Builder Award (2018), Asian Education Award (2020), Savitribai Phule Award (2021), and the Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Global Educator Award (2023), recognizing her outstanding service and commitment to the education community. She is a certified soft skills trainer and does training programmes for in-service teachers and college students. Also, conducting spoken English and communication skills programmes online as well as offline.
