Dr. Adarsh Mangal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Government Engineering College, Ajmer, where he has been teaching since 2007. He holds a Ph.D. (2007) and M. Phil. (2000) from Government College Ajmer under MDS University, and has enriched his expertise through multiple NPTEL certifications from IIT Roorkee and IIT Madras. Specializing in Applied Mathematics, particularly in mathematical programming and operations research, Dr. Mangal has authored or co-authored over 50 research papers, contributed to 10+ patents/designs, and co-edited several academic textbooks in engineering mathematics and quantitative techniques. He has served as Hony. Secretary of the Ajmer chapter of the Operational Research Society of India (ORSI) since 2010, he has been a Central Council member, and led the chapter to win the “Best Chapter Award”. Dr. Mangal also plays key roles in national-level academic initiatives: he manages editorial responsibilities for journals like Vigyan Prakash, has been a General Chair at the ICCIPS–2021 conference (Springer), and delivers invited expert lectures under the Council for Scientific & Technical Terminology (Ministry of HRD, GoI). His research interests span a wide range of optimization techniques, including fractional programming, linear and quadratic programming, and nature-inspired algorithms, with notable applications in power system scheduling, smart health diagnostics, and IoT-based solutions for societal challenges.
