Dr. M. Sundararajan is a distinguished academician and researcher with over three decades of experience in mathematics, remote sensing, and environmental modeling. He served as Senior Principal Scientist at CSIR-CIMFR, Dhanbad, for 29 years and has been currently a Professor of Mathematics at Mizoram University since August 2021. His areas of specialization include GIS and Remote Sensing, Mathematical Modeling, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Resource Management, and Environmental Studies. He holds an M.Sc. and an M. Phil. In Mathematics, a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, and an honorary D. Litt. From Ascroft University, London. Prof. Sundararajan has guided multiple Ph.D. and M. Tech scholars, completed 20 sponsored projects and 15 consultancy projects, and authored over 35 journal papers and 105 conference papers. He has received several prestigious awards, including the Global Excellence Award and Bharat Ratna Dr. Abdul Kalam Gold Medal. He is also a life member of several national and international professional bodies and continues to contribute significantly to research and academic development.
