Basic Information
Dr. P. Parvathi was born in Srivilliputtur(T. K) of Virudhunagar District in Tamilnadu. She Completed School Studies at Sacret Heart Girls Higher Secondary School – Srivilliputtur. She studied B.A. Economics at Sri Parasakthi college for Women at Courtallam. She passed an M.A. in Economics at Kamaraj college in Tuticorin. She was awarded the degree of Master of Hindi at Pondicherry University – Pondicherry. She completed the Course of Training in Data Preparation and Computer Software at Dolphin Industrial Center in Srivilliputtur. She studied a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications at Standard Fireworks Rajaratnam College for Women in Sivakasi. She completed M. Phil - Madurai Kamaraj University in Madurai, and she was awarded the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Economics (Ph.D.) at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University at Thirunelveli. She is working as Assistant Professor in the PG and Research Department of Economics at Kandaswami Kandar’s College, Velur –Namakkal. She taught economics in Post Graduate and Undergraduate classes for eleven years, and she previously worked as a lecturer in Economics and handled Economics classes Undergraduate for seven years at Sri Paraskthi College for Women in Courtallam. She produced M. Phil/P.hD three scholars. She has published four edited chapters of a book, she has published some articles in journals, she has attended Faculty Development Programmes, and she has participated in and presented research papers at State, National and International level Seminars and Conferences.
