Sandipta Padhee did her bachelor in law from HNLU, Raipur and then her masters from NLU, Odisha. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Law after having cleared her UGC NET examination in December 2019. She has a sense of curiosity towards life, law and the society which has led her to research. She finds socio-legal issues fascinating and her analytical bent of mind pushes her to view these issues as problems to be solved. In this book, she has done just that, she has tried to find solutions to the existing problems in the realm of the legal discourse of international surrogacy. The book explores and compares various different legal systems to first understand the current system of surrogacy contracts in these countries and finds the issue of international commercial surrogacy to be such an unresolved issue, which she has tried to resolve with her extensive research. She is a focused researcher with an uniquely quirky bent of mind which further helps make her perspective stand out. She likes to read, travel and storytell in her spare time and believes life is meant to be enjoyed, doing something one loves daily or trying to fall in love with what one is able to do daily at the time. Often one does both.
