Chemical technology and applied chemistry must coexist with the growth of industry. Thus, an engineer must have a thorough understanding of applied chemistry, especially in the present period of industrialization. The text book "Applied Chemistry for EEE Stream" will impart the chemistry principles in industries externally, which an engineer's understanding is not only incomplete but also insufficient for addressing the variety of difficulties in the modern industry. The text book covers the entire syllabus prescribed by the university (VTU) as the best. The text book has been organized in to 5 modules according to the syllabus. The Module – 1 focused on chemistry of electronic materials. It consists of principles of conductors, insulators and semiconductors, determination of molecular weight of polymers and synthesis of different polymers with their properties and Electrolessplating mainly on PCB’s. The Module – 2 is based on Energy conversion and storage. It explains about classification of batteries and fuel cells with few examples and solar energy with construction and working of PV cell.
