The source of information taken in this book is the result of extensive field work as well as laboratory experiment conducted by undersigned in the Plant Taxonomy and Ecology Research Laboratory, Pakur. All the research work presented in the book  were undertaken under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Prasanjit Mukherjee, Head, Department of Botany, KKM College, Pakur from the year 2016 to 2021.

The inventory of Angiospermic diversity in and around black stone mines with special reference to their impact on plants and environment will open new vistas for the future researchers. The impact of mining studied in the current study will act as a guideline fir the miners and the environmentalist.
