It gives us great pleasure to inform the readers that the present edition of the book has been improved, well – organised and enlarged. The matter of the previous edition in each chapter has been modified and re – organised. Errors and omissions of the previous edition have been widely corrected.

The present book “Basic Concepts of Finsler Geometry ’’ especially designed as per NEP model curriculum for post graduate students of all Indian universities. This book is very useful to interpret the basic elements of Finsler geometry for those research students who are working in area of Finsler geometry from national and international universities.
