REFLECTIONS AND MUSINGS

The thought of writing a book has been in my mind for quite a long time, even during my service and much more since my retirement after my thirty-three yearlong successful service as Human Resource Manager in one of the leading Public Sector Undertakings of the Country- the Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd- KELTRON in the year 2017.

The years after my retirement were mixed with more sorrow than joy. I lost my dear life partner- Mini-in February 2020. Life had to move on. But soon after her leaving, the world over became still for more than a year with the Covid pandemic pulling down all of us.

The thought of publishing a collection of English articles continued with me collecting all the articles I had written over the years.

During the latter half of 2023 Mrs. Vanishree from the Iterative and International Publishers, Chikkmagaluru, Karnataka contacted me and asked me about the idea of publishing a book. This was the major turning point in my life.

That is when I collected over 24 articles on my reflections containing articles -short memoir on my father, reflections on my early childhood life, the Covid pandemic, lessons learnt during the period, my musings on life, togetherness, forgiveness, team work, leadership, delegation, life skills for the youth. The article on leveraging opportunities in an Industry-Academia collaboration was written just before the lock down.

The Articles contain my thoughts, reflections and musings-the first four being my thoughts on my father who was my mentor, then a rewinding of my memories on my early childhood days.

The next three are about my musings and deep thoughts on the Covid days- how me and my daughter Meenakshi overcame the Covid infection and the lessons that we learnt during those total lock down days.

The next three articles are reflections on the top habits and deep lessons that we have imbibed over the past two years.

The next eleven articles reflect my learnings on the ruminations and introspections on the different perceptions and studies in life- on forgiveness, togetherness, team work, leadership, delegation and the importance of life skills for the youth.

To my surprise and joy the ideas reflected in the last article on leveraging opportunities in an Industry-Academia collaboration, written in early 2020 is being implemented across the Colleges in all the Universities in Kerala and the Kerala Technical University in particular.

The ideas, contemplations and believes expressed in all the Articles in the Book is original and authentic to the best of my knowledge and belief and I feel extremely proud and happy to present my first Book- Reflections and Musings before the world.
