A TEXT BOOK ON DIVERSITY AND ECOLOGY OF SOME NEMATODE PARASITES OF FIN & SHELL FISHES FROM JAMMU PROVINCE OF JAMMU AND KASHMIR UT OF INDIA

The book is an assemblage of a part of research work of the author pertaining to nematodes parasites of fin and shell fishes from Jammu province of Jammu and Kashmir UT of India. It contains the techniques and methods required for study of nematode parasites. It is a guide book for future researchers who want to explore the nematodes of the area. The book contains methodology for identification of hosts and parasites, recovery of parasites fixation and preservation of nematode parasites, clearing and mounting of nematodes, staining drawing and photography and micrometry of nematode parasites. The book contains details of four new species of adult nematode parasites recovered from fishes viz: Paraleptus jammuensis, Camallanus shizothoraxi, Procamallanus poonchensis and Rhabdochona putitori all adult forms and one larval form viz: Proleptus jammuensis.
