Pharmacology is the core subject of medical profession. Students feedback made us understand that students want to prescribe the medicines without thorough understanding of Pharmacology subject. With upgraded CBME based pattern, there is need for a practical manual book to understand different types of clinical problems, basic knowledge of Pharmacy as well as experimental pharmacology with nomenclature of drugs. This will help develop their skills in rational prescribing. Myself Dr. Shaktibala Dutta (Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacology) put efforts in observing students. Dr. Jyotsna Sharma (Professor, Pharmacology) shared her vast experience in making this book a guide for students. Dr. Vaishali Babasaheb Lote (Assistant Professor, Pharmacology) has put efforts in writing this book with enthusiasm. Mr. Mukesh Kumar our sincere Ph.D student has put an effort to complete the Chapters. Mr. Surjeet Kumar Singh (PvA of AMC – Santosh Medical College) has contributed as authors for Pharmaco vigilance Chapter.
