In a world increasingly defined by global challenges—climate change, inequality, digital divides, and unsustainable resource use—the need for local, context-sensitive solutions has never been more urgent. This volume, Global Goals, Local Solutions – Integrating Sustainability in Everyday Life, emerges from that pressing need to translate ambitious international agendas, such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), into tangible, actionable, and community-rooted practices.

This first volume is a culmination of diverse perspectives presented at the International Conference on Global Goals, Local Solutions, jointly organized by Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women (Autonomous) and Bengaluru City University. Held on the 18th  and 19th of September 2025 at the Jnanajyoti Auditorium, Bengaluru, the conference brought together scholars, students, researchers, entrepreneurs, and changemakers from across disciplines and sectors.
