Putushona is our Little Princess the imaginary granddaughter of an Indian Diaspora in America. . She is Rudh of my story series in The Sentinel. She is our real Elsa in the family. She is the blue eyed baby of Santa. She is our little Ma Durga. In fact, I found in Putu Shona all children and shades of their slow growing up –their activities, joy and sorrows as well.
Like any other child Putu Shona is the Decision Maker of the House. She is the Boss of the House. She is versatile. She is the Best in her school. She was the darling baby of her playschool. She is the best scorer in Green House .She can dance in the Bollywood style. She is best in Ballet performance on the stage. I cannot always distinguish one child from another child. They are all nearly same in their every day deals. Putu shone is a piano artist and does wonderful performance on the stage. She learnt swimming at four and loves doing it at the weekend like all children. She loves to visit restaurants. She is now devoted to chess playing and finds it easy to give checkmate without losing her Queen. She paints and her colour sense is wonderful. She loves gymnastics and exercises. She loves strawberry on her breakfast table. She loves Ruti and Chicken and pea luchi is her favourite. She is an American but she loves India. She loves her cousin brothe. She loves gift boxes from Dadun and Deemama. But she loves them more than any gift. But she wants more her Dadun and Deemama to come to live with them for ever. She is a kind grand daughter. She is hardy and she loves doing house chores and earns dollars. But she does not spend them .She deposits them in the Bank for getting a bigger amount from the bank. She is sensitive, kind to animals and imaginative She loves Elsa, Mermaid and celebrates her seventh birthday with the book Putu Shona. She prepares for the Halloween .She participates in drama performance. In India she loves Puri more than everything .She tries to help the poor people in India. She loves the sea beach of Norfolk or North Carolina and collects pink shells .She swims in the sea while she visits Norfolk seabeach . She dreams of brining a Puppy to their home when she grows up.
All Children are a Putu Shona be it India or America. On the seventh Birthday of Putu Shona the nearly seventy year old Dadun along with Deemama celebrates the day by publishing the all colour page book. She is the ‘World’s Best Grand Daughter’ for them for ever as in her face they discover all the fun loving children of the world.
