Basic Information

Prof. Dr. Kamisetti Venkataramaniah has been in the field of Nuclear Physics since last forty years teaching B.Sc. (Honors), M.Sc., and M.Phil. courses in Nuclear Physics and actively contributing to research. His continued collaboration with Gesselschaft fur Schwerlonenforschung, GSI, Dramstadt, Germany, one of the world's leading nuclear and particle physics research centres, since last two decades working in the areas of Nuclear Spectroscopy and Atomic Mass measurements and evaluations, gave him ample exposure to the most experienced nuclear physics community. Prof. Kamisetti published more than three hundred research papers in National and International Journals. He has guided twenty Ph.D. students in Nuclear Physics and Nanoscience. His other areas of Interest are Nuclear Medicine and Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and is collaborating with FDA, USA working on nanoparticle based diagnostic platforms for highly sensitive point of care detection of infectious disease. He is presently Senior Professor of Physics at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL) Prashanthinilayam, India. Prof. Venkataramaniah also was Director, University Planetarium at Prashanthinilayam, In-Charge of Laboratories for Nuclear Research and Laboratories for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Research of Department of Physics at SSSIHL. Above all, he is an ardent devotee of Bhagawan Sri SathyaSai Baba. Prof. Kamisetti has been Alexander von Humboldt Fellow, Germany since 1981 and also works at GSI, Germany for about three months every year.
