Case 1:
If the author directly gives us the sales/purchase order (where the author does not require royalty), then the
Purchase Cost=MRP(minus) Royalty%ofMRP(minus)Discount%ofMRP
For example, If the author orders 40 Books directly (provided acceptance on Royalty cancellation for this particular purchase order) and if the MRP of this book is Rs.1000/- Then,
Purchase Cost per Book = MRP (minus) Royalty%ofMRP (minus) Discount%ofMRP
Number of copies = 40 which comes under Slab 1 of Royalty deduction and Slab 1 of Discount.
Purchase Cost per Book=Rs.1000 - 25%(1000) - 20%(1000) = Rs.550/-
Note: No Royalty will be paid to the author as per Table 1.
Case 2:
If the distributor or third party gives us the sales/purchase order, then the
Purchase Cost=MRP(minus)Discount%ofMRP
For example, If the distributor or third party orders 40 Books directly, if the MRP of this book is Rs.1000/- Then,
Purchase Cost per Book = MRP (minus) Discount%ofMRP
Number of copies = 40 which comes under Slab 1 of Discount.
Purchase Cost per Book=Rs.1000 - 20%(1000) = Rs.800/-
Note: Royalty will be paid to the author as per Table 1.
Case 3:
If the author directly gives us the sales/purchase order on behalf of his/her contacts (the author requires royalty), then the
Purchase Cost=MRP(minus)Discount%ofMRP
For example, If the distributor or third party orders 40 Books directly, if the MRP of this book is Rs.1000/- Then,
Purchase Cost per Book = MRP (minus) Discount%ofMRP
Number of copies = 40 which comes under Slab 1 of Discount.
Purchase Cost per Book=Rs.1000 - 20%(1000) = Rs.800/-
Note: Royalty will be paid to the author as per Table 1.
