Copyright on the content of the book
Copyright will be assigned to the Author(s) of the book
Plagiarism issues or Copyright Infringement or Illegal use of Intellectual Property
The author/Editor is solely responsible for the contents published in this book. The IIP (publisher) does not take any responsibility for the same in any manner. The author/Editor agrees that book content does not include material taken from other copyrighted sources. If any plagiarism issues or Copyright Infringement or Illegal use of Intellectual Property arise in future, the Author/Editor will be the sole responsible for it.
In the case of an Edited book, The agreement will be between one of the editors of the book and IIP. The editor who is signing the agreement should take the consent/agreement from the authors of each chapter that “Chapter content does not include material taken from other copyrighted sources. If any plagiarism issues or Copyright Infringement or Illegal use of Intellectual Property arise in future, the Author(s) of the chapter will be the sole responsible for it.” If the process of obtaining consent/agreement from the authors of the chapters is skipped by the Editor(s) and if any plagiarism issues Copyright Infringement or Illegal use of Intellectual Property arise in future, the Author(s) of that particular chapter and Editor(s) of the book will be the responsible for it. IIP does not take any responsibility for the same in any manner.
Ownership of the content of the book
The copyright holder is the owner of the content of the book. No part of the book may be reproduced or transmitted in any form by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopy, recording, or any information storage and retrieval system, without permission in writing from the copyright owners and also the publisher. However, IIP can use the content to print/reprint the book to fulfil the sales requirement or Author/Editor requirement.
