The book entitled Muslims and Resistance Movement in British Malabar is a genuine investigation in to the life and struggles of the marginalised and oppressed Muslims in colo- nial Malabar. A historical approach based on consideration of time, space and social environment can unravel the reac- tions of Muslims to imperial designs of a colonial govern- ment. Their resistance to the British rule in Malabar is a de- tailed critique of colonialism. A systematic and deeper analy- sis into the genesis, evolution and development of anti-colini- al resistance by the Muslims is mutated through the present study.
