Dr. A. Karthika Unnithan worked as Guest Lecturerof English at Sree Vivekananda College, Thrissur, Kerala, India. She completed her PhD in English Literature from Amrita University, Coimbatore on December 2019. Her thesis was on the ethnographic study of Buchi Emecheta’s novels. Her main areas of interest are African literature, Indian writing in English, animal fiction, disability studies, dark tourism studies and green writing. She has many national and international publications, which mainly focuses on her PhD thesis topics. Three of her other publications is on the gastronomical study of Kerala’s Onam Sadya, a historiographical poetical study of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre and how mass media performs as an informal court to public through courtroom T.V reality shows.
