Ms. A. M. Rashida Banu is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany, Hajee Karutha Rowther Howdia College (Autonomous), Uthamapalayam, Theni, Tamil Nadu. She is having a teaching experience of more than 10 years. Her area of Specialization is Ethnobotany and Phytochemistry. She won several State and National awards including Winner of a Gold Coin in June 2005, Best Women Assistant Professor in June 2021, Best Young Researcher Award in Feb 2022 and Best Paper Presentation Award in May 2022.

She wrote a book chapter and published more than 10 papers in Reputed National and International journals. She acted as a Resource person and also presented more than 10 papers in National and International Seminar and conferences. She also has been a Judge in Science Exhibition and Special Guest in the Inaugural functions. She is appointed as an Editor in 'International Journal of Botany Studies' and Editor in-chief in Botanical Report, a National Journal. Her book is an easy way of understanding Horticulture and its practice.
