Dr. Anita Sharma is an Associate professor heading Department of English at GC Dhami, Shimla (H.P) INDIA. She is also President ELTAI Shimla Chapter and had been a Former Associate at Indian Institute of Advanced Studies IIAS, Shimla, India. She has been teaching English to U.G and P.G classes since 1989 in various colleges belonging to Maharashtra and Himachal Pradesh She did her schooling from different Kendriya Vidyalaya belonging to various states in India because of her Army background. She did her post graduation from Pune University, Maharashtra with grade 'A' and M.Phil and PhD from H.P University, Shimla. She also did a post graduate diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication with grade "A from IGNOU. She has published three critical books and more than seventy scholarly articles published in national and international journals/books of repute. She has been a Resource Person, chaired, participated and presented more than Ninety papers in about 125 national, international seminars/webinars and conferences at various places including Delhi, Lucknow, Patna, Gandhi Nagar, Udaipur, Bangalore, Chhattisgarh, London Malaysia and Nepal. So far six M Phil and seven PhD students have been successfully awarded degrees under her supervision. She is also a member on the editorial board of few national and international journals. Her field of research includes American, Canadian, Australian, Afro-American and Indian poets and writers .She is also appointed as an external evaluator of Doctoral thesis' by Punjab University Chandigarh, Bharatidasan university Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu and RTM Nagpur University.. She is often being invited as Resource Person in Faculty Development Programs and Refresher Courses and Appointed as a Reviewer of abstracts submitted in an International Conference held by London School of Management (2020).She is conferred with Nation Builder award by Rotary Club Shimla in 2019.
