Dr Amit Awasthi is an Academician cum researcher in the Area of Atmospheric science and serving as Assistant Professor of Physics having an experience of more than 15 years in the area of research cum teaching. Presently associated with Physics department, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. He completed Master in Physics in 2006 from Punjabi University Patiala campus and obtained PhD degree in 2011 with the specialisation in the area of Atmospheric Sciences from Thapar University Patiala. He has an experience of teaching Post-graduate and Under- graduate classes. He worked as researcher at National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi, India in the area of Future Climate Impact.   Dr. Awasthi awarded National Science Council (NSC) fellowship from Taiwan Government and worked as Post- Doctoral fellow for two years at the Institute of Environmental engineering, National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) Taiwan. He has expertise in the area of exposure studies and troposphere Air monitoring. He worked in various International and National Projects and has enough experience of working in the area of Atmospheric Sciences, Air monitoring, Climate change, Aerosol Technology& Measurements and exposure studies.  Dr. Awasthi attended many National and International conferences and received appreciation at national and international level. Dr. Awasthi is the Author of 40International Journals in the field of Atmospheric/Environment Sciences and has impact factor of more than 70 and citation index approaching 1000. His research interests include Aerosol measurements & its Science and technology development, Aerosol properties, Geosciences, Global Warming, Climate Change and Exposure studies.
