Dr. Ram Shepherd Bheenaveni is working as Assistant Professor of Sociology at Osmania University, Hyderabad, (T.S.), India since March, 2010.  He has been chosen for UGC- Research Award in 2015, and also for ‘Dr. Ambedkar Overseas Post-Doctoral Fellowship’ offered by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, GoI, New Delhi through ‘Dr. Ambedkar International Centre (DAIC)’ and currently pursuing his Post- Doctorate at the University of Texas- Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), USA.  So far, he authored two books and published 30 research papers in various national and international journals, and contributed a few chapters for text books. His area of interests are Research Methodology, Social Statistics, Developmental Studies, Indic Studies, Subaltern Studies, and Social Theory and Postmodernism.
