Dr. M. Bhushanam is presently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Zoology at Maharani's Science College for Women, Maharani Cluster University, Government of Karnataka, Bengaluru. He is M. Sc., and Ph.D., with brilliant academic record. He is an eminent microbial apiculturist with over 19 years of vast experience in teaching, research and extension. He was a recipient of Dr. Pampapathi Rao Gold Medal and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Gold medal for his academic excellence in Master degree programme. He was conferred with BEST TEACHER AWARD 2022. He is a Member of Board of Studies and Board of Examiners in Bangalore University, Bangalore North University, Maharani Cluster University, Indian Academy college of Sciences, Bengaluru, Kristu Jayanthi University, Nrupathunga University, Bengaluru etc. Dr. M. Bhushanam has published more than 20 research papers in Journals of National and International repute. He has published a text book, 8 laboratory manuals and about 23 abstracts. He has been conferred with "Young Scientist Award and prestigious State Madhumitra Award". He has presented many research articles, chaired sessions, delivered plenary lectures. He is a Member in Indian Science Congress and Member, Institute of Sciences. He is also a Member of Evaluation Committee, Karnataka Public Service Commission. He has worked as Principal Investigator of research project (MRP) funded by UGC-HRD. He has served as External auditor (NAAC) in the colleges of Karnataka.
