Dr. Bidisha Misra is the Assistant Professor of Sanskrit, Department of Sanskrit, Lady Brabourne College, Kolkata, West Bengal. She is a scholar of Calcutta University and a National Scholarship holder. She has a career span of twelve years under West Bengal Education Service and very popular among students. From her school days she has got keen interest in Sanskrit language and literature. She has got specialisation on Sanskrit Kavya Literature). Her area of research and interest are Sanskrit Poetics and Bengal's Contribution to Sanskrit Literature and Drarmashastras. She has authored several research papers which cover so diverse fields as Literature, Sanskrit poetics, Dharmashstras, Science and technology in ancient India.
