Dr. Carmel Thomas is an upcoming aspiring academician with five years of research experience with fellowship and teaching experience at MSN Institute of Management and Technology,Kollam, Kerala. She has published more than ten research articles. Her research degree is in service quality in the banking sector in University of Kerala. She has shown Keen interest in the sea food processing industry and quality quotient of retail banking. Kerala's Co-operative and main stream banking perspectives on service quality is her maiden effort to make comparative evaluation of present status of performance of commercial and co-operative banking sectors in Kerala. The book generates constructive inferences towards measures to support and to protect the co-operative sectors in increasing performance level so as to compete with the commercial banking sector as they are passing through a critical phase since the launching of the new economic policy in 1991.
