Prof. Bala Venkata Subbarayudu Chilukuri, Ph.D. (H.C.), has more than 25 years of experience as a visionary leader in technical education and has been serving the student community as an instructor equipped with a compassionate mindset, with the focus on skill development. He is a recipient of the prestigious PoornaPragna' Award (2022), besides a Lifetime Achievement Award' (2022) and a 'Green Ambassador' Award 2023). He has co-authored ten books on a wide range of subjects, has published eleven Indian patents and has been granted three Australian patents and one U.K. patent. A triple M.Tech. degree holder, also possessing M.B.A. and M.Phil. degrees, he is an avid researcher in electrical engineering, renewable energy, and human resource management fields, and a relentless pursuer of knowledge who believes in life-long learning. Prof Chilukuri has a vast experience in conducting academic and research activities. He served as the coordinator for three Short Term Courses approved by All India Council for Technical Education and conducted by Shadan Women's College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad, a Nodal Centre of the National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh. He also participated in and has served as a Member of the Scientific Committee in three international conferences. He is a reviewer for one international journal, and the editor of a book series. He has the distinction of having served as a Member of the Jury Panel at National Conference- 2021', organized by the Technology Students Association (TSA), U.S.A. Prof. Chilukuri is a member of many prestigious professional, academic,technical, and environmental societies worldwide. He is a Chartered Engineer (India), a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers (India), and also the Co-Founder of 'Swachh Raksha Seva", a non-governmental organization dedicated to the cause of sustainable development. He is a Life Member of Indian Society for Technical Education. As a Member of the Energy Conservation Mission (ECM), a wing of The Institution of Engineers (India), Telangana State Centre, India, he has been instrumental in organizing numerous energy conservation awareness activities for the past sixteen years and is currently serving ECM in the capacity of Vice-Chairman. He served as IEEE Day Ambassador for the year 2022.Having officiated in the past as the Head of the Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department, Shadan Women's College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad, he is presently serving as an Associate Professor at the institution which is a pioneeringwomen's engineering collegein the state of Telangana, striving for women empowerment through outcome based technological education.
