Dr. Debashis Biswas did MSc in Zoology [entomology] in 1985 and PhD on " Bionomics of Aedes aegypti [L] of Calcutta " in 1993 both from Calcutta University. Currently, he is the OSD & Ex-Officio Chief Vector Control Officer at Kolkata Municipal Corporation. Contributing over 150 stories on mosquitoes and mosquito - borne diseases to leading dailies , Dr. Biswas has authored 11 books ncluding a best- seller " Masha " and published around 50 research papers in different journals of international repute - inclusive of the Transactions of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, Dengue Bulletin , Current Urban Studies and Research Chronicle in Health Sciences.
