Sh. D.P. Gangwar, M.Sc (Physics) is a well-known forensic scientist of India, currently working as Assistant Director (Physics) and holding the position of HOD of Physics and Cyber  in CFSL, MHA Government of India, Chandigarh. He started his carrier journey since 1991 from CFSL, CBI, New Delhi. He has vast experience in the field of forensic science. More than 2500 crime cases have been analysed by him so far. His expertise in the field of audio-video forensic has been appreciatively recognized by the national and international community. Different Hon'ble courts of India have mentioned and rely on his forensic expert opinion in their various important judgements. The author has organised many conferences/seminars on the different subjects including audio, video, drone, digital and mobile forensics.

The author has published several research papers in international and national journals. His specialised research areas such as texture analysis of soil samples, paint analysis using FTIR and Py-GC-MS, audio-video and image authentication, and forensic analysis of drone data have recognised internationally. His research papers, that are available on Google Scholar & Researchgate are being read globally.

The author's several research papers have been cited by many eminent scientists in his/her research papers/books. Prof. Punam Bedi Senior Professor and HOD of the department of Computer Science, Delhi University. Prof. Ibrahim Hindawy Saleh, HOD of Physics, Alexandria University and Er. Soubhi Hadri, Software engineer in Microsoft core services are few scientists in this list.

The author has been awarded with the best scientific paper award in 2015 by the MHA Government of India, New Delhi for his contribution in the area of DVR and CCTV footages examination for person identification.

The author had delivered many lectures to various trainee officers of different organisations/department such as Police, Judiciary, Universities etc. In addition to this, the author is an honoured guest lecturer in various Universities in all over the India.
