Dr. Manoj Shetty is a Professor at the Department of Prosthodontics at AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences,Nitte Deemed to Be University,Mangaluru, Karnataka ,India with  over 20 years of  experience .He is Currently heading the Department of Oral Implantology. He has undergone Implantology training in Germany and is certified in advanced Oral Implantology. Further, he has mentored  undergraduate and postgraduate students, Oral Implantology fellowship students and PhD candidates at the  University. He has two patents to his credit and around 80 publications in the field of prosthodontics and Oral Implantology in national and international  journals. He has conducted studies on Concentrated growth factor and Platelet rich fibrin and their effect on extraction and immediate implant placement and sinus augmentation. His research interests include Platelet Derivatives and their interaction on the Implant surface. He is currently working on biomimetic functionalization and implant behavior.
