Dr. Ranjan C Khunt is Assistant professor of Department of Chemistry at the Saurashtra University, Rajkot (Gujarat-India) from 2014. She holds her Ph.D. in Heterocyclic Chemistry from Saurashtra University in 1999. In 1999 she joined Saurashtra University as an Assistant Lecturer. Her research interests include Heterocyclic Chemistry, Multicomponent Reactions and Coupling Reactions, Docking Study, Q-SAR study and Medicinal Chemistry. Dr. Khunt has Published one book on "Essence of Heterocyclic Chemistry" in New Age International Publishers and over 90 scientific papers in national and international journals dealing with novel synthesis of diverse molecules and its applications in biology and medicine. Under her guidance, 12 students completed doctorate and 04 are currently pursuing their Ph.D. She has granted two patents based on versatile group of heterocyclic chemistry i.e., chroman and cobalt nanoparticles based novel anti-cancer agents.
