Sundara Raj T obtained his Ph.D. from University of Kerala, and currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology, Periyar University Salem, Tamilnadu. He is author of books like Transition in Rural Livelihood (2014), Social Exclusion: Dimensions of Marginality in India (2015), Gendered Development and Marginalisation of Women (2016), Transgender Inclusion: Challenges and Implications (2017), Decentralization and Empowerment of Dalit Women (2018), Elder Abuse and Social Exclusion (2019) and completed three major projects on Social Exclusion and Inclusion of Transgender, Ageing and Social Exclusion and Health Seeking Behaviour of Malayali Tribal Women and six Ph.D. awarded under his guideship.
