Dr. Manoj Nazir, A floriculture scientist from Jammu and Kashmir UT, Doctorate in Agriculture Botany (Genetics and Plant Breeding) from Ch. C.S University, Meerut -U.P with Research experience of 31 years in the field of Floriculture, has developed twenty hybrids in Gladiolus prominent among them Jammu Pride, Sarla, Gvauri, Shobhit Snow etc. and two varaties in Freesia (Amar Garg and Rattana Durani). Dr Manoj had 110 research papers, ten lead papers, four books and has received 20 prestigious awards, serving as scientist since 1988 is also Chairman National Gladiolus Trust) and chief editor, NAAS rated journal CORM (a journal of floriculture research). Dr Nazir is fellow of ATDS, SVPSS and SHRDA and has been recently conferred with National Fellow Award (ICRIABAS-2020) for his outstanding contribution in Science, technology and social Development
