Dr. Archana Saini is working as Assistant Professor & Head of P G Dept. of Zoology, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, Punjab, India. She has completed her Ph.D. in Zoology with CSIR-JRF Fellowship from Dept of Zoology, Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar. She was awarded prestigious Post-Doctoral Fellowship from Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi to work at Regional Medical Research Centre, Belgaum. Subsequently, she also received  DBT-BioCARe Fellowship as well as major research project grant from Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India, New Delhi, to start her early career research. Her main thrust areas are molecular genetics, aquatic biology and epidemiology. She has published about 26 international Scopus Indexed/ refereed journal research papers and contributed book chapters. Her H-Index is 8 and i-10 Index is 6. She has presented 18 research papers at International Conferences and participated in 30 International/ National Conferences as delegate/ resource person. She was awarded Best Women Researcher Award in the field of Zoology during National Conference on Smart Summit -2021 in Madurai.
