Dr. Monisha Banerjee is currently working as Professor in Department of Zoology, University of Lucknow (UoL), Lucknow. She is the founder Director of Institute of Advance Molecular Genetics and Infectious Diseases, ONGC Centre for Advanced Studies, UoL. She has been Ex-Dean, Research, UoL. Her specialization is Molecular & Human Genetics with research interests in the genetic and epigenetic association studies in T2DM, GDM, Cervical cancer and Pulmonary diseases, pharmacogenetics of antidiabetic and anticancerous treatment and search for newer treatment strategies. Her team has contributed to the Indian Consortium for Diabetes (INDICO). She has supervised 17 Ph.D students mentored 07 postdocs and trained more than 30 UG/PG students from other universities. Prof. Banerjee has completed 09 major research projects and 03 are ongoing. She has published >120 research papers in national and international journals. She has received several awards and her contribution in teaching and research has been recognized in India and abroad.
