Dr. Akhila Variyar is an Assistant Professor in English at Kristu Jayanti College, Bengaluru. She has completed her Ph.D in English from REVA University, Bengaluru. She is a University Rank holder in M.A and B.A English from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. She has published many research papers in International and National Journals including chapters in Books with ISBN. Her academic areas of interest are Dalit Literature, Disability Studies and Mythology Studies.
