Dr. Shalaka Parker, to her Academic care dential she as completed M.A. in English from University of Pune (UoP) in 1997 and bag geda Gold Medal for the same. She then did her B. Ed from Uo Pin1998 and ranked 2nd in the University, Post which she successfully completed her PGDM and MMS in HRM from the Uo Pin 2009 and ranked 3rd and 5th in the University respectively. She then pursued her Doctoral Study in Management on the topic titled:“An Exploratory Study of the Role of Academic Leadership in Private Higher Educational Institutions imparting Management Programmers” and was awarded Ph.D. from Uo Pin 2013.She has been a part of the teaching fraternity for the past 20 years. Her niche are as of teaching are Communication Skills in English, SoftSkills, Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior. Being a true academician, she has been pro foundly contributing to the field of Educational Research and has authored a couple of text books for the MSBTE, Research papers in National and International Conferences and Journals. She has also authored Book Chapters in the books of IGI Global Publications and is also an Editor for the same. Additionally, she has paved the path by initiating some innovative venture Sather current workplace, such as setting up of Language laboratories, designing basic and advanced modules of English Language Learning for graduates of various disciplines, organized professional trainings for Faculty, Staff and Students. She has played a quintessential role in the establishment of the DY Patil International University-a State Private University of Maharashtra as the Chief Project Co- ordinator. She has been the recipient of various accolades, one of which is the “Innovative Academician of the Year Award” by Centre for Education Growth and Research (CEGR) for her outstanding contribution to Education, Skill and Research. Currently, she is the Dean of the MBA Program at D.Y. Patil Institute of MCA and Management, A kurdi, Pune and also the Campus Incharge - Soft Skills Department, at Dr. D Y Patil Educational Complex, A kurdi, Pune.
