Dr Ranjit Sarma M.Sc., M.Phil., PhD is serving presently as the Principal of the Chandra Kamal Bezbaruah Commerce College, Jorhat. He was the former Head & Associate Professor in Physics at the Jagannath Barooah College (Autonomous). Twenty-five years of his career he had made remarkable research works in the field of Thin-film physics. Around thirty research  papers,  books  and  articles   were   published   in   various   reputed   high impact factor journals. He is the recognized PhD supervisor of Dibrugarh University. Three students got PhD under his guidance. He has completed many minor and major research projects funded by various national funding agencies.
