Dr (CS.) Mala Kumari Upadhyay, a Practicing Company Secretaryand a well known Academician is also an active member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (Patna Chapter) since 2015. She did her Doctorate from Patna University and is currently the Dean of Academics and Assistant Professor in the Commerce Department at St. Xavier's College of Management and Technology Patna. Her dissertation is on the topic "Corporate Law and it's Impact on the Governance of Indian Private Corporate Sector Since 1991- A critical Evaluation Her areas of interest include Law, Commerce, l'inance and taxation.
