T. Abimala is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering, St. Joseph's College of Engineering, Chennai, India. She obtained her Bachelors of Engineering (ICE) from Tamilnadu College of Engineering, Coimbatore and Masters in Control & Instrumentation from St. Joseph's College of Engineering, Chennai. Currently pursuing her PhD degree in Anna University, Chennai. She has 4years of teachingexperience and prior to this worked as a senior system engineer for 6 years with Infosys. She has published about 10 research papers innational/international journals/conference proceedings. Her teaching and research interests include Bio-Medical Signal and Image Processing, Medical Image Analysis, Image segmentation and Machine Learning.
