Dr. K. Mayilsamy graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology in 1984 and obtained master degree in Internal Combustion Engineering from College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai in 1989. He got Ph.D in  Mechanical Engineering  in the year 2002 from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Currently, he is working as Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore.  He has more than 35 years of teaching experience including 20 years of research experience. His area of research interest includes internal combustion engines, heat transfer, alternative fuels and renewable sources of energy. He has published more than 90 research papers in international/national journals and conferences. He is a life member of Indian Society of Technical Education, ISFMFP and ISHMT.
