Mani Sarma Vittapu, Ph.D., Teaching and Technical Achievement Award for his outstanding and innovative work in Emerging Technologies, is a professor in Information technology, AAIT, AAU, Ethiopia. In this capacity, he provides technology directions in data, information, and knowledge management for the Information Technology Professor, Schools of Information Technology and Engineering (SITE). In addition, his current work focuses on machine learning and cyber security and distributed system it relates to Emerging databases and database security, He also serves as adjunct professor of computer science at Addis Ababa Institute of Technology, Addis Ababa University and teaches a course in Emerging Technology. Prior to beginning he current position at SITE, AAIT, AAU in February, 2014. He was the department head in Computer Science and Engineering & Information Technology Division in the Intelligence Center for four years. In that position, he was responsible for the management of about 30 technical staff in four key areas: distributed databases, multimedia data management, data mining and knowledge management, and distributed objects and quality of service. Prior to that, he held various technical positions including lead, principal, and senior principal engineer, and was head of department research in evolvable interoperable information systems as well as data management and co-director of Database Specialty Group. He managed fifteen research academic projects under the Data modeling research project from 2014 to current. And later for over three years, conducting research, development, and technology transfer activities. He was also an adjunct professor of computer science and a member of the graduate faculty at the Addis Ababa Institute of Technology, Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. Dr. Mani Sarma Vittapu earned a B.Sc., M.C.A., and M.Tech (CS). And also received his CSE Ph.D. degree from the Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh, India at the age of 41. He is a senior member of the IEEE and a member of the ACM and IETE. . He has a certification in IBM data Scientist professional, IBM Case tool trainer and has also completed a management development program.Dr. Mani Sarma Vittapu has published over 50 technical papers and reports, including over 20 journal articles in various Scopus journals and he also serves on the editorial boards of various journals. Dr.Elefelious G. Belay is the Dean of SITE, AAIT, AAU, Ethiopia. He has good Industry Experience. He has a strong experience in academic teaching. His specialization is Human Computer Interaction (HCI).
