Dr. Himani Punia has her expertise in Plant Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She was a fellow of the "Prime Minister's Fellowship Scheme for Doctoral Research awarded by a joint initiative of CII and Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. for doctoral studies. She has been working on biochemical studies concerning the yield improvement of cereal and horticultural crops, including biochemical and metabolic changes, quality evaluation, seed science techniques, proteomics and transcriptomics studies under abiotic stresses, etc. She has 211 research articles, 5 review articles, and 12 book chapters published in journals of international and national repute, along with 17 popular articles to her credit. She is the reviewer of Cereal Research Communications. She is also a lifetime member of several professional societies. She is well versed in several biochemical and molecular techniques.
