Dr. Aravind A. Mulimani (b. 1964) has a sound academic credit with a dedicated Professor and researcher, who has thirty two years of teaching and research experience in Geography at Post-Graduate Department, Karnatak University, Dharwad Karnataka State, India holding M.A Degree by securing First Rank and GOLD MEDAL at Post-Graduation in Geography (1989) from Karnatak University Dharwad. Subsequently, author has obtained M.Phil Degree in Resource Geography and awarded the Doctoral Degree in Marketing Geography from Karnatak University, Dharwad in 1992 and 2002 respectively. Presently, author is a Professor and Chairman, Department of Geography, Karnatak University, Dharwad. The author has created interest in the areas of specializations of Resource Geography, Settlement Geography, Marketing Geography, Tourism Geography, Population Studies, Rural and Regional Planning and accordingly Prof. has guided 11 M.Phil and 11 Ph.D's so far and many of them are working. Author has published Six books which are outcome from the research and worth in the discipline along with 58 research papers have been published in the known professional journals and also presented 45 research papers in the both National and International Conferences not only in India but also in abroad. Beside these, Dr. Mulimani delivered 20 Keynote address and 22 Invited talks in the National Seminars/Conferences/ Webinars in different themes of Geography in different parts of India. Author is a Hatric Awardee for the year 2017-18 and is a recipient of Prestigious Awards, i.e. the BHUGOL BHUSHAN AWARD, 2018 by the Deccan Geographical Society, India. The INNOVATIVE ACADEMIC RESEARCH AND DEDICATED PROFESSOR INTERNATIONAL AWARD, 2017 by the Innovative Scientific Research Professionals, Malaysia and the UNION OF GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION TECHNOLOGISTS EXCELLENCY AWARD, 2017 by the International UGIT, Bangalore. Professor is associated with many professional organizations. The author's trust is deeply involved to take up the research in different fields of Geography.
