Vara Saritha is presently Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Science, GITAM (Deemed to be) University, Visakhapatnam and has been teaching for about 16 years. After completion of her graduation and master's from Andhra University, she pursued her M.Tech (Environmental Management) and Ph.D in Environmental Science and Technology from JNTU, Hyderabad. She has published around eighty national and international research publications and nearly 8 book chapters to her credit. She has supervised doctoral students. Her research interests include areas like water and wastewater treatment, environmental toxicology, epidemiological studies and corrosion studies.
