Dr. R. SARANYA is a Professor and Director of the Centre of Advanced Study in Linguistics, Annamalai University, where she has been working since 2000 and Senate member, Tamil University, Thanjavur. She was an Advisory Committee Member of ICSSR Major Research Project from 2015 to 2018 and Co-coordinator of UGC-SAP-IV Phase from 2019 to 2021. Her research interests span both Linguistics and Applied Linguistics (ELT, Translation Studies, Computational Linguistics and Cognitive Linguistics). She received grants for three research projects from UGC, and TANSCHE. She has been in recognition of her Best research Publications in peer reviewed indexed International Journals during 2012-2016. Ten PhDs have been awarded under her supervision. She has main authored and coauthored of three books published by Annamalai University. She has authored and coauthored of over seventy five research articles published in reputed national and international journals, and proceedings.
