Dr. Dominic Savio, SJ is the Principal of St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata. Father Savio received his Ph.D. in Economics from University of Burdwan. His research interests include International Trade, International Economics and Econometrics. Father Savio has edited book on 'Emerging Issues in Inclusive Growth, Business and Environment published by Regal Publications, New Delhi. Dr. Savio has published research papers on FDI and trade issues in international journals of repute. Father is the recipient of the "Shiksha Ratna" Award 2021 given by the Government of West Bengal on the occasion of Teachers' Day. Father also received a number of awards namely "Education Eminence Award 2021" for excellence in advancement of Education and Human Relations, "Pratibhu - Life Time Achievement Award' on 11 January, 2020, "Mother Teresa International Award" by the Mother Teresa International Award Committee on 16th January, 2020 and the "Award of Excellence in Education and Philanthropy" conferred on him by the Bengal National Chambers of Commerce and Industry on 14th April, 2018.
