Dr. Shibabrata Choudhury is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Management Studies at North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Itanagar since 2006. He received an MBA degree in Information Technology from Berhampur University in 2001, and Ph. D. degree in Management Studies from NERIST in 2016. His employment experience includes as a Junior Relationship Manager in ING Vysya Financial Services Limited, Hyderabad, and Sales Support Officer in HSBC bank, Hyderabad, for 03 years. He had been Head of the Centre for Management Studies; a member of the Academic Council, Board of Post-Graduation Studies, and Examination Board of NERIST for two terms (06 years). At the departmental level, he had also been chairman of the Board of Studies and Departmental Post Graduation Studies. He is an active lifetime member of professional body like ISTE and ICA. He had been a visiting faculty for NIT, Arunachal Pradesh, and RGU. He is actively involved in the teaching-learning- research process, till date he published 17 numbers manuscripts in Scopus-indexed journals and books, edited 02 Scopus-indexed books, and organized 03 international and 01 national sponsored conferences as chairman, 02 funded government of India research projects, and also organized 15 number workshops/MDPs sponsored by reputed national agencies like SEBI, iitbombayx.in, IOCL, NTPC. etc. He has supervised more than 50 PG dissertations, and currently supervising 06 doctoral theses. His area of research includes ICT-enabled green economy.
