Amar Paul Singh, born and raised in the Kupwara district of Jammu & Kashmir, Western Himalayas which inspired him to devote his life to the conservation of wildlife and natural ecosystems. His research interest is conservation of wildlife and natural ecosystems and published various research articles on the same. Currently he is a PhD research scholar at Wildlife Institute of India and Zoological Survey of India. His doctoral research is on ecology of sympatric Himalayan Brown bear and Asiatic black bear in the western Himalayan region of Himachal Pradesh.
