Swapan Kumar Sarkar has passed M.A. in History from Rabindra Bhrati University, Kolkata in 1999. He was an Assistant Teacher in Googhat High School (H.S.), Hoogly from 2001-2007 and Berachampa Deulia High School (H.S.) 24 pgs (N) from 2007-2010. Now he is teaching as an Assistant Professor in Sripat Singh College, Jiaganj Murshidabad from 2010. Eighteen (18) articles/chapters of him are published in different National and  International Books and Journals. He has edited a book “Sufism in India: interpretative Essays” . His area of interest is 19th century India.
